Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said two attacks on Thursday 8 October, one on facilities at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and one on a Saudia aircraft, killed three Saudi citizens including a Saudia pilot. The Houthis said they fired a ballistic missile at the airport, and Cirium data showed hundreds of flights out of Saudi Arabia cancelled that day; GACA said on 9 October that operations had returned to normal. GACA had said on 7 October that attacks on the Abha and Riyadh airports earlier that week killed three civilians.
